Independence Day Celebration 2026

Laxman Public School celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm, patriotic fervour and a strong sense of national pride. The celebration was held at the main stage on the school’s big field and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of students.

The programme was anchored by the Academic and Cultural Head Boy and Head Girl, who conducted the proceedings with confidence and enthusiasm.

The celebration commenced with a warm welcome, followed by the Flag-Hoisting Ceremony.

Ms Seema Bharti Mishra, Principal, Laxman Public School, hoisted the National Flag, accompanied by the National Anthem and “Vande Mataram,” rendered by the School Choir.

The programme continued with an inspiring speech, followed by a vibrant Junior School Dance performance and a Choir presentation – “Saare Vatan Ka Pyara, Naynabhiram Nyara.” These performances reflected the enthusiasm and patriotic spirit of the young learners.

The Patriotic Qawwali performance added a traditional dimension to the celebration, highlighting India’s rich cultural heritage. The programme then continued with an energetic Senior School Dance performance, which further enhanced the patriotic spirit of the gathering.

The celebration concluded with an inspiring address by the Principal, Ms Seema Bharti Mishra, who reflected on the significance of India’s 80th Independence Day and reminded the students that freedom comes with responsibility. She emphasised that Independence Day is not merely a date on the calendar, but a celebration of the spirit of independence. She highlighted that true independence lies in making a daily choice to act with integrity, compassion, and responsibility, while remembering and honouring the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. She encouraged students to value their freedom and grow into responsible and compassionate citizens of the nation.

Adding a special visual and patriotic touch to the celebrations, tiny tots from Nursery, KG, and Classes 1 and 2 dressed up as freedom fighters, bringing history to life and adding colour, charm, and enthusiasm to the overall programme. Sweets were also distributed among the students as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

The 80th Independence Day celebration was a memorable occasion that brought the school community together to celebrate the spirit of freedom, national pride, unity, and the rich cultural heritage of India.
