Good Touch, Bad Touch for Primary Students

Awareness Workshop on ‘Good Touch, Bad Touch’ Conducted for Primary Students

A workshop on ‘Good Touch, Bad Touch’ was conducted on 11 May 2026 in the conference room for the students of Classes III, IV, and V by Ms. Arati Yajnik. The session aimed to create awareness among children about personal safety, appropriate physical boundaries and the importance of self-protection.

The workshop began with an engaging video featuring butterflies and a young girl, effectively conveying the importance of personal space and safety. Through interactive discussions and relatable examples, students were sensitised to the concepts of safe touch and unsafe touch, while also helping them understand that not every touch is inappropriate.

Real-life situations from everyday spaces such as corridors and washrooms were discussed to make the learning practical and meaningful for the students. The session encouraged children to remain alert, communicate confidently, and seek help from trusted adults whenever necessary.

The workshop was conducted under the guidance and encouragement of the Principal, Ms Seema Bharti Mishra, who has always emphasised the importance of creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for students. Her constant efforts towards promoting students’ emotional well-being and awareness continue to inspire such meaningful initiatives in the school. The workshop was highly interactive, informative, and thoughtfully conducted. Overall, it proved to be a meaningful and enriching experience that helped foster awareness, confidence, and a better understanding of safety and respect among the students.
