Laxman Public School celebrated Earth Day 2026 with great enthusiasm across all levels, fostering environmental awareness and responsible practices among students.
Special Assembly: Earth Day & Namami Gange
The celebration commenced with a thoughtfully curated Special Assembly, integrating the significance of Earth Day with the objectives of the Namami Gange Project.
Students of Class XII presented an impactful skit on Earth Day, highlighting pressing environmental concerns and the need for sustainable living. A “Save Water” pledge was also administered, encouraging students to adopt mindful practices towards conserving this essential resource.
Further enriching the programme, the LPS Theatre Team staged a powerful skit on river conservation and cleanliness, sensitizing the audience to the importance of protecting water bodies and maintaining ecological balance.
The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Mr Rakesh Khatri (Eco Roots Foundation), Ms Priyanka Jha (Environment Specialist, NMCG), Mr Prasun Jain (Agribusiness, KPMG), and Mr. Nadeem (Social Media, NMCG).
The programme was conducted under the able guidance of the Principal, Ms Seema Bharti Mishra, whose inspiring words motivated students to become environmentally conscious and responsible citizens. She emphasized the importance of collective efforts in preserving natural resources and ensuring a sustainable future.
Pre-Primary Department
The Pre-Primary Department celebrated Earth Day with vibrant dance performances and engaging activities. Students created eco-friendly greeting cards using dry leaves and presented pencil stands made from recycled materials during a Show and Tell session, promoting sustainability from an early age.
Classes I & II
Students of Classes I and II participated in a joyful and meaningful celebration. The programme included a special assembly, a skit, and an energetic dance performance focusing on saving trees, conserving water, and protecting the environment.
Adding to the spirit of the day, students shared green-coloured snacks and showcased their creativity by making models of the Earth, reinforcing eco-conscious values in an interactive manner.
Classes III to V
Students of Classes III to V created impactful slogans and charts on environmental conservation. A drawing competition on “Conserving Earth – Say No to Plastic” showcased vibrant posters promoting resource conservation and reduced plastic use, reinforcing sustainable living.
The Earth Day celebrations at Laxman Public School were both educational and inspiring, instilling in students a deep sense of responsibility towards protecting the environment and encouraging them to contribute towards a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable world.
