To guide Class X students in making informed decisions about their academic and career paths, a counselling session on ‘Stream Selection’ was organised on 12th August 2025 in collaboration with PRATHAM. The session was facilitated by Mr Praveen Khanna, a distinguished career counsellor and seasoned education expert.

The workshop aimed to help students understand the importance of choosing a stream aligned with their interests, aptitude and long-term career goals. Mr Khanna provided a comprehensive overview of the three major streams—Science, Commerce and Humanities—highlighting the core subjects, skill requirements and potential career opportunities associated with each.

Students were given insights into emerging career trends, interdisciplinary opportunities, and the growing importance of skills in the modern job market. Interactive Q&A segments allowed participants to clarify their doubts, ensuring a better understanding and greater confidence in making choices for their future.

The workshop concluded with an emphasis on self-awareness, informed decision-making and goal setting, leaving students motivated and better equipped to take the next step in their educational journey.

The session was well received by students, who appreciated the clarity and practical guidance provided. Teachers observed that the workshop had a positive impact on the students’ approach to stream selection, reducing anxiety and fostering confidence.
