The Leadership Camp (2026-27) for class XI students commenced on April 15, 2026 and concluded on April 22, 2026 with the aim of making students take cognizance of varied skills needed for a successful career and fulfilling their obligations both at individual and societal level. Along with this, the camp also focused on sensitizing students about multiple social issues and equipping them with the competencies required to be harbingers of optimistic and impactful transformations in society.
The central objectives of the leadership camp were to:
- Turn young learners of today into robust and responsible citizens of tomorrow by enabling them to build self-confidence and positive self-image.
- Aid them to develop a well-rounded personality and align their personal growth and development with that of larger goals of uplifting society.
- Enable them to fathom diverse social issues such as mental health, gender sensitization, stress and anxiety among students, road safety and so on.
- Empower students with prerequisite capabilities such as teamwork, communication skills, work-life balance, stress management etc. to become efficient leaders and address new challenges and dynamism of the contemporaneous world.
- Provide ample opportunities to students to actively engage in interactive sessions and gain real-life experiences to establish a link between the training rooms and the outside world.
The leadership camp culminated into a successful endeavour solely due to the indispensable help and guidance of our Principal ma’am Ms Seema Bharti Mishra. Her unwavering support was a source of consistent encouragement for the students. Her presence never failed to instil a feeling of enthusiasm among students to eagerly participate in the camp. In the wake of her efforts the learners were able to acquire great capabilities to be the leaders of the future.
The major highlights of the camp were participatory sessions and workshops conducted by experts from their respective fields. All the workshops were held in the conference hall of Laxman Public School and provided countless opportunities for students to be a part of interactive activities that kept them engrossed throughout. The topics included Making Right Career Choices, Career Guidance, Cultivating Emotional Quotient, Training and Placement Opportunities, Healthy Screen Time, Mental Health, Building Self-Confidence, Higher Education and Career Opportunities Abroad, Stress Management, Road Safety and First Aid Techniques.
There was no dearth of chances leading to experiential learning in which students were empowered to be better prepared to surmount challenges and solve problems. Several crucial skills such as problem solving, finding resolutions in conflicting situations, group dynamism, honing of interpersonal skills, moulding a positive self-image, remaining steadfast in tough times and becoming empathetic were inculcated among students. Students also enthusiastically participated in various co-curricular and physical activities including art, theatre, yoga, dance and football to promote creativity, teamwork, discipline, physical well-being and a sense of camaraderie. Enough space was dedicated to sessions entailing introspection and reflection, enabling students to identify their strengths and shortcomings, which is a precondition for setting future goals and achieving them.
Sessions were conducted on the following topics:
1. THE SCIENCE OF CHOOSING THE RIGHT CAREER
(Resource Person: Ms Seema Nagar, Global Edu Careers)
The engaging session was filled with valuable information regarding making informed choices when it comes to selecting a career as per one’s calibre and innate talent. Selecting the right career can be overwhelming, but in lucid terms, Ms Nagar expounded on the factors that can aid students in selecting appropriate career paths from the plethora of options available today.
2. UNLOCKING CAREER PATHWAYS
(Resource Person: Mr Ashutosh Kumar, Associate Director, Careers Ada)
The workshop bridged the gap between classroom learning and real-world application. Mr Kumar provided the students with a comprehensive and structured roadmap for competitive exams, college admissions and skill development. Primary focus was given to useful tips to clear CUET.He also gave practical insights on personality development, mental health and digital awareness.
3. HEALTHY SCREEN TIME
(Resource Person: Mr Reeturaj, Founder, UniAssist.ai andUniBot)
With his immense experience as an AI Innovator, Educationist and Career Counselling Expert, Mr Reeturaj’s session turned out to be highly insightful and interesting. In the technology driven world of today excessive screen time has become a perennial problem. The resource person elucidated how to strike a balance between use of AI technology and healthy screen time management. All these guided students to navigate the world of internet effortlessly without facing the harmful consequences of doing so.
4. EMERGING CAREERS
(Resource Person: Binit Binod)
Mr Binod’s sessions explained how the unprecedented dynamism of today’s world, where nothing remains the same for long, has tellingly shown us that possessing multiple skills has taken precedence over merely acquiring degrees. He focused on imparting professional training to students and guided them on how they can realize their potential and choose careers as per their calibre and academic orientations.
5. CULTIVATING AND UNDERSTANDING EMOTIONAL QUOTIENT
(Resource Person: Ms Seema Nagar, Global Edu Careers)
Ms Nagar explained how important it is to grasp the concept of emotional intelligence which often takes a backseat in the face of demanding routines characterizing the contemporary scenario. She juxtaposed emotional and intelligent quotients and further elaborated the harmful consequences of prioritizing one over the other. Her extensive experience and expertise enabled students to understand the simple methods with which they can enhance their EQ and note that both EQ and IQ complement each other for success and a satisfying life.
6. TRAINING AND PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITIES ACROSS INDIA
(Resource Person: Mr Surinder Singh, Lalit Suri Hospitality School)
This enlightening session greatly aided students in taking a note of innumerable options available to them in the field of hospitality industry. In this interactive career guidance session students were informed about specialized programs in hospitality and hotel management designed to prepare them for dynamic careers in the global hospitality sector. The courses discussed by them promised to offer practical training and robust academic foundation along with industry exposure.
7. MENTAL HEALTH AND EMOTIONAL QUOTIENT
(Resource Person: Mr Bhavesh Suryakant, Global Education News Gen.)
In this highly informative session students were familiarized with the crucial link between maintaining sound mental health and gaining accomplishments in the field of one’s choice. He convinced the students that without the former the latter remained elusive. The session discussed simple yet significant steps and techniques needed to maintain equanimity under stress and remain mentally and emotionally fit. Students were briefed about varied techniques ranging from breathing exercises to managing overwhelming tasks to attain one’s targets without tension and anxiety.
8. BUILDING SELF CONFIDENCE AND POSITIVE SELF IMAGE
(Resource Person: Dr. Arjun Chadha, Public Health Expert)
The interactive session paid attention to confidence and body images concerns, especially during phases of visible physical changes, where peer perception and social milieu can strongly influence how students see themselves. Dr. Chadda’s methods were age appropriate and helped students to deal with issues of low self-esteem and the steps which can be taken to assuage the negative feelings associated with it. The students were greatly benefited and at the end could feel better prepared to face issues which most adolescents face.
9. AI AND SUSTAINABLE CAREERS
(Resource Person: Mr Praveen Khanna, Pratham)
The resource person brought a unique depth to the training room by instilling a sense of confidence in learners when it comes to navigating the vast field of career choices available to them. Students felt better informed and well prepared in exploring options made available by AI. There were also engaging discussions on building confidence and facilitating group dynamics at organizational levels.
10. HIGHER EDUCATION AND CAREER OPPORTUNITIES ABROAD
(Resource Persons: Mr Amarpreet Singh (CEO), Ms Navneet Kaur (Visa Manager) and Ms Kalpana Choudhary (Admission Head), Kiwiana Immigration)
The resource persons elaborated on how hopes and aspirations of students can materialize into concrete reality with some easy and practical steps. The sessions entailed detailed explanation and discussion on multiple aspects of preparations required either to study or work abroad. The sessions emphasized on visa process documentations, qualifications and procedures for specific courses and how to ensure smooth and positive enrolment experience.
11. STRESS MANAGEMENT
(Resource Person: Ms Indu Punj, Macmillan)
The illuminating sessions covered a variety of useful topics such as gender sensitization, stress management, creating work life balance and balancing EQ and IQ. Her customized and interactive session ensured that students left the training room with pragmatic tools to face day to day challenges. It also lay stress on cultivating EQ and acquiring different social skill.
12. ROAD SAFETY
(Resource Persons: Ms Reena, Mr Rajkumar and Mr Gurvesh, Delhi Traffic Police)
The resource persons very aptly elaborated on how we assume accidents happen to others and in the wake of which we usually overlook simple but crucial steps that can prevent untoward incidents and tragic accidents. The sessions included elaborations on some of the indispensable steps which are necessary for ensuring one’s safety. The students could fathom that using roads with responsibility is not merely about following rules but saving lives.
13. BLINKIT AMBULANCE
(Resource Persons: Ms Shreya Ganguly and her Team, Blinkit)
The session provided hands on experiences to students and provided them with profound insights intohow the ambulance functions and what all life-saving equipment it carries. The students enthusiastically participated in the discussion regarding crucial first aid tips and key actions involved saving a life. The points given were lucid, practical and relatable. The students were informed about appropriate emergency care which they can easily give.
The Leadership Camp for Class XI proved to be a wholesome learning experience, encapsulating diverse topics necessary for personal growth and professional grooming. Through engrossing sessions, workshops and activities, students honed their skills and gained great knowledge that would certainly aid them to surmount real life challenges of adolescence and prepare them for their future roles as renowned leaders of tomorrow.
The departments of Fine Arts, Physical Education, Dance and Theatre played a pivotal role in making this camp successful. They are worthy of great appreciation and gratefulness. We are also greatly indebted to Ms Kavita Sharma for conducting the revitalizing Yoga sessions, promoting physical and mental well-being among our students. We are thankful to all the guest speakers who dispensed valuable information among our students rendering them more confident and capable.
Special thanks to the support staff and volunteers for their relentlessendeavours in coordinating and ensuring the smooth completion of the camp activities. The students’ behaviour remained worthy of emulation throughout the camp. They exhibited great discipline and actively participated in all sessions. Last but not the least, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the fraternity of parents who bestowed upon on us the great responsibility of ensuring holistic development of their wards. Your steadfast support and encouragement are of immense value to us.
