Weekly worksheets will be held in all subjects according to the given schedule.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development of a student is continuously assessed in Scholastic as well as Co-scholastic areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>The Directorate of Education has reframed the Examination and Assessment Practices from the Academic Session 2023-24. Following is the Assessment Policy as per Directorate of Education (DOE) guidelines dated 7.10.2022.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CLASSES III, IV &amp; V<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>SCHOLASTIC ASSESSMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Mid Term Examination: &#8211;<\/strong> It will be conducted in September\/October. The Question Paper for this examination is to be set from the syllabus of Term 1 and will carry maximum marks of 50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.Annual Examination: &#8211;<\/strong>It will be conducted in February\/March. The activities may include debates, role play, quiz, poster making, fun with science, recitation, creative writing or Math&#8217;s lab activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(c) Project Based Activities (PBA)<\/strong>: &#8211; These activities provide an opportunity for students to engage deeply with the targeted content with a focus on long term retention. These activities facilitate the development of key skills like identification of problem, logical thinking, creativity, inference making and problem solving. These activities may include dramatics, role play, creating art using waste material, PPTs, projects, exploration, displays and other activities based on research work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(d) Portfolio (PF)<\/strong>: -It is a collection of student\u2019s work that describes his\/her efforts, progress, growth and achievements in key areas. It may include notebooks, files, performance records, documents, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(e) Multiple Assessment (MA)<\/strong>: &#8211; It is aimed at evaluating the performance of the learner through observation, oral tests, class discussions, quizzes, concept maps, visual expressions, mental math, tables, listening and speaking skills, dictations and class presentations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>(f) Periodic Tests\/Unit Tests (PT):<\/strong> &#8211; Two periodic written tests to be conducted for subject in each term with the maximum marks of 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. Passing Criteria for class V only:-<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(a) Inorder to be declared \u201cPass\u201d, a student must secure at least 33% marks in each subject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(b) The Promotion to the next higher class is subject to the condition that a minimum of 25% of marks must be secured in Mid Term plus Annual Examination i.e. 18 marks out of 70 marks in each subject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(c) A candidate who is not eligible to be declared \u201cPass\u201d will be declared \u201cPromoted\u201d with the \u201cGrace Marks\u201d up to maximum of 10 marks in total (including all subjects) to reach the minimum required 33% of marks in each subject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(d) Conditions of giving \u201cGrace Marks\u201d:-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(I) Minimum 25% of marks secured in each subject i.e. 18 marks out of 70 marks to make him eligible for promotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(ii) Provided that a student does not require more than 5 marks in one subject to come up to the minimum requirement of 33% of marks in that subject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>8. Re-examination for class V only<\/strong>: &#8211; It will be held in all those subjects where the student is not securing minimum passing marks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>9. Criteria for Essential Repeat: &#8211;<\/strong> If a student (of class V) does not secure the minimum passing marks, as stated above, he\/she will be placed in the category of \u201cEssential Repeat\u201d (ER) and will be held back in the same class during the next session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>10. Rules regarding absence during Examination: &#8211;<\/strong> A child on leave during Exam will appear for Re-examination and then rules of Re-Examination will be applicable for promotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CLASSES VI, VII &amp; VIII<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>SCHOLASTIC ASSESSMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1.Mid Term Examination: &#8211;<\/strong> It will be conducted in September\/October.
