The National Teachers’ Conference 2025 on STEM Education: Fostering Scientific Temper, Innovation and STEM Competencies was held in Patna on September 12 and 13, 2025. It was organised in association with PatliputraSahodaya School Complex at Bapusabhagar, Patna.
The STEM Education Conference was attended by HOS Mrs. Seema Bharti Mishra and Mrs. Sangeeta Chatterjee. About 400 delegates from across India and abroad participated in the meet.
The conference was inaugurated by Mr. Rahul Singh, IAS, Chairman CBSE. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Rajiv Ranjan Sinha, President PSSC, Patna. The Chief Guest was Mr. Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Dept. of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India. Guests of Honour included Mr. Dipak Kumar Singh, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Govt. of Bihar and Prof. T.N. Singh, Director, IIT Patna. The overview of the conference was presented by Mr. Manoj Srivastava, Director (Training), CBSE.
Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, CBSE, chaired the session on Building a STEM Literate Society through Sustainable Practices. The second session was addressed by Mr. Rajesh Lakhani, IAS, Commissioner, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, on STEM Education. This session was chaired by Dr. Pragya M. Singh, Director (Academics), CBSE.
The post-lunch sessions were addressed by Dr. B. Rajender, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Govt. of Bihar, on STEM Education and Community Engagement and Mr. Anand Kishore, IAS, Chairman, Bihar School Examination Board, on STEM Education for Future Readiness.
The conference aimed to bring together educators, thought leaders and practitioners to celebrate and exchange best practices on STEM education. It offered an opportunity to explore pathways for enhancing innovation, critical thinking and interdisciplinary learning in classrooms. It also created a platform for collaborative learning by listening to eminent domain experts and paper presenters.
The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Ms. Ramandeep Kaur, Joint Secretary (Training), CBSE.
