RESOURCE PERSON: MS SEEMA BHATNAGAR, DIRECTOR, ABHYETI FOUNDATION

Laxman Public School, under the leadership of Principal Ms Seema Bharti Mishrahosted an informative and hands-on workshop on Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR Awareness Training for its staff and faculty members. The session was conducted by Ms Seema Bhatnagar, Director of the Abhyeti Foundation, an organisation committed to health education and emergency preparedness. She was accompanied by her colleagues, Ms Abha Goyal and Ms Rita Das.

The workshop aimed to equip participants with essential life-saving skills required to respond effectively during medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest, choking or unconsciousness. Ms Bhatnagar provided clear and practical guidance on the correct procedures for performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), along with an understanding of the chain of survival in emergency scenarios.

Participants were actively engaged in demonstrations and simulation-based practice, enhancing their confidence in responding to real-life emergencies. The training also covered the importance of staying calm under pressure, assessing situations accurately and initiating prompt action until professional medical help arrives. Ms Bhatnagar’s extensive experience in the field, coupled with her engaging delivery, made the session both empowering and impactful. The workshop successfully raised awareness about the importance of first response and underscored the vital role educators and school staff can play in ensuring student safety and well-being.
