Central Ground Water Board under the aegis of National Ground Water Training and Research Institute organised a training / mass awareness programme on water conservation and ground water management at Laxman Public School, Hauz Khas Enclave, New Delhi on 29th November 2018. The purpose of organising this programme was to spread awareness among the young stakeholders on saving water. It is an initiative taken by Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation.

A team of scientists led by Mr S K Juneja, Officer Incharge, State Unit Office, Delhi had come to talk to the students of class XI. Mr Tejdeep Singh and Mr O K Naik, Sr. Hydrologists told students about drying rivers, ponds and lakes. They also suggested simple ways to save water.

A poster making competition was held in the school. The best paintings were awarded. The cultural programme was highly appreciated by the guests. The theatre group presented a hilarious play on the topic ‘Save Water’. Lavish lunch was served to participants. The vote of thanks was given by HoS Mr D N Tiwari.
