Laxman Public School celebrated the 71th Independence Day to pay tribute to all the freedom fighters and remember their contribution for the Independence of India. The function began with the unfurling of the National Flag by the HoS, Ms Surekha Agnihotri along with student representatives of the senior most department and the little ones in the junior most department. The enthusiastic singing of the national anthem was followed by a grandeur band display. The patriotic renditions by the choir and the colourful dances by the students charged the atmosphere with patriotic spirit. The theatre students presented a Roopak on Bhagat Singh. An enactment of the role played by Bhagat Singh along with Rajguru and Sukhdev in the freedom struggle of India was depicted.

The meritorious students were also awarded on this day.

The children of Pre-School and Pre-Primary made hand bands with tricolour petals with the words “We are proud to be Indians” written on them. The students of Classes I & II made beautiful tricolour cards creatively depicting the symbol of freedom.

The enthusiasm, patriotic fervour, zeal and zest shown by the students showed that today’s generation valued the freedom that India had secured after innumerable sacrifices.
